OPEN DOUBLES LEAGUE

COME JOIN THE FUN!

The open doubles curling league is on Thursday evenings with draws starting at 6:30 and 8:15 pm

What’s Different?

  • It is an exciting format with 2 people per team.
  • An entire game can be played in approximately 75 minutes!
  • Teams only have six stones in an end and two (one of each colour) are positioned before each end starts.
  • Each team delivers five (5) stones per end.

The Board has approved the following two documents in order to help the leagues and players.  It identifies league rules and offers the curlers highlights on the etiquette of curling! These documents have also been posted inside the club.

BONSPIELS AND FUNSPIELS

Every year the Sturgeon Falls Curling Club hosts a Mixed, Ladies’ and Men’s Bonspiel. The club also hosts other Funspiels and special events throughout the season.

LEAGUES FOR ALL AGES

We offer a Senior’s drop in league on Monday and Thursday, a Tuesday night ladies’ league, a Wednesday night men’s league, a Thursday night open doubles league as well as a Friday night open mixed league. We have a Youth Learn to Curl programs on Monday (Little Rocks) and Wednesday (Juniors), and an Adult Learn to Curl program on Monday evenings.
